――“In Arendelle’s fair kingdom, a ruler did appear. Born with a secret power so great, alone, she stayed in fear. Although the force was hidden, one day she let it go. And all the land was covered in eternal ice and snow.”
Elsa is the oldest sister of Princess Anna and was to be next in line for Arendelle’s throne, though with her unveiled powers that allowed her to control ice and snow she then became the famous “Snow Queen”. Elsa is set to be the 13th official member of the Disney Princess line-up. The short story of “The Snow Queen” is where Elsa is loosely based off of as well as, to a lesser extent, Kai, the story is written by Hans Christian Anderson. Though the original character was written as this fairy tale’s antagonist Elsa was re-written to be more of a deuteragonist. A Deuteragonist is the second most important character after the protagonist. So enjoy this Official Disney sing along song.
Official Disney Bio
- From the outside, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret—she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It’s a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can’t stop. She fears she’s becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.
